US Water uses Chinese Fluoride with Heavy Metals

August 13, 2014. Tucson, AZ. (ONN) There’s an ever-growing health emergency in America focused around the levels of heavy metals in our food, water and even our bodies. It’s impossible to trace the problem to any one source, as there are multiple reasons for the heightened levels of metals, including natural occurrences. But a recent test of imported fluoride for US water treatment found the chemical contaminated with a number of toxic metals, and they’re going straight into America’s tap water.

Thanks to Wall Street’s global economy and Washington’s inability to safeguard imports coming into America from unregulated and chronic offenders like China, Americans’ life expectancy is dropping, cancer is skyrocketing, and other afflictions from allergies to autism are spiking at inexplicable rates. One reason is thought to be a growing amount of toxic metals in America’s food and water. A recent investigative report from Natural News confirms that fear, showing that America’s fluoride additives are all imported from China, and they’re contaminated with heavy metals.

Testing imported Chinese fluoride

‘The sodium fluoride added to US water supplies is contaminated with the toxic elements lead, tungsten and aluminum,’ the announcement from Natural News two weeks ago began, ‘Strontium and uranium were also found in substantial quantities in some samples, raising additional questions about the purity of industrial fluoride used for water fluoridation.’

The investigators first researched where American water treatment facilities obtain the sodium fluoride they add into the country’s drinking water. It turns out, much like many other industries, all American manufacturers of sodium fluoride have gone out of business. America’s cities and towns have been forced to order the chemical from one of six manufacturers located in China. And just like the pet food contaminated with melamine that killed tens of millions of American pets in 2007, there is little or no oversight of the fluoride going from Chinese manufacturers and straight into America’s tap water.

Test results

After testing the samples of sodium fluoride obtained from all six Chinese suppliers used by American municipalities, the Natural News lab obtained the following results. They broke out the highest levels found of each toxic metal, and then listed the average contamination levels for all the tested samples. From Natural News:

Highest levels found (in parts per billion)

-aluminum: 283,218 ppb
-arsenic: 137 ppb
-strontium: 9,417 ppb
-lead: 988 ppb
-uranium: 1,415 ppb
-tungsten: presence confirmed in 2 of 6 samples but quantitative analysis not conducted on tungsten

Average levels found (in parts per billion)

-aluminum: 69,364 ppb
-arsenic: 70 ppb
-strontium: 1,751 ppb
-lead: 299 ppb
-uranium: 239 ppb

Quality control

The study’s lead researcher, Mike Adams, was quick to point out that the samples of sodium fluoride obtained from the six manufacturers in China varied wildly in their contamination levels. As an example, he explains, “Laboratory testing shows that metals contamination varies considerably from one source of fluoride to the next. For example, while 988 ppb of lead was found in the sodium fluoride from one source, another source showed as little as 53 ppb. But that low-lead source contained over 1,400 ppb of uranium, a potentially concerning figure.”

Follow-up investigation by the researchers revealed that while there is little or no quality control in China over the companies that manufacture America’s fluoride, there is also no testing done of the water additive by American officials who import the chemical and blindly dump it into the country’s water supply. “There are many different chemical compounds which contain fluorine elements in various configurations,” Adams warns, “Some are far more toxic than others. And all of them are, by default, labeled ‘fluoride’ for purposes of municipal water fluoridation.”

Effects of heavy metal contamination

The health website Mercola.com warns readers that if they are chronically sick and don’t know why, heavy metal contamination may be the cause. In their 2008 report, ‘Toxic Metal: The Reason You Feel Sick’, the physician-authors warn readers that while some people are sickened by large doses of heavy metals, the vast majority of Americans are getting sick from ongoing, low-level doses of the metals on a daily basis.

The authors detail the many Americans who seem to always feel sick, writing of them, ‘They may digest their food poorly, experience digestive distress, or be generally sickly. One reason may be toxic metals like: Mercury, Aluminum, Cadmium, Arsenic, Lead, Nickel.’ The doctors conclude, ‘These toxic metals can cause or contribute to a long list of diseases including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other brain and neurological disorders. While the medical establishment recognizes the acute toxicity that comes from high levels of metals in your body, far more people suffer the adverse effects of low-level, chronic exposure.’

In their 2008 report, the medical researchers also discuss how heavy metal contamination has become so widespread throughout America, the toxic metals are showing up in higher concentrations in blood tests of newborn American babies. The authors write, ‘It has now gotten to the point where babies are being BORN toxic due to the toxic load of their mothers. A 2004 study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) found that blood samples from newborns contained an average of 287 toxins, including mercury, fire retardants, pesticides and chemicals in non-stick cookware.’
